Zula

Zula is a New York-based psych pop outfit led by cousins Henry and Nate Terepka. On their debut album, This Hopeful, listeners were introduced to Zula's hypnotic and rhythmic brand of pop, which has been called "Pointillistic...with a mainspring of Minimalism” by The New York Times. Taking inspiration from '90s UK indie-dance, krautrock and funk, they create something raw and spontaneous, yet meticulously detailed. The four-piece, featuring Noga Shefi on bass and Pablo Eluchans on drums, has built a reputation for energetic performances and constantly pushing their heavily rhythmic sound. Expect Zula's sophomore LP in early 2016.
