About YEYEY, Nolens Volens, The Unconditional Love

After six full length albums, five international tours and three years since an official release, Ben Shepard returns with a new full-length record, fully metamorphosed as YEYEY (pronounced yee-yee), the moniker he has taken since disbanding his previous project Uzi & Ari in 2013. After relocating to Brooklyn in 2010, Shepard assembled a dream team of players and singers to create the vivid, kaleidoscopic LP, ‘The Vision,’ which features contributions from members of Mercury Rev, M83, White Sea, and Gregor Samsa, to name a few. Street date: November 6, via Hush Records.

Andrew Glassett is a prolific electronic musician and producer, and has 11 releases under the Nolens Volens moniker over the last decade. Studying sound perception in college awakened an interest in the social and psychological implications of music. He is always experimenting with new forms and ideas and is most recently performing a set of hazy house tracks that incorporate dark beats and live electronics.

The Unconditional Love: Dima Drjuchin and Martín Celis; life-long, native New York friends whose noise is an open-invitation; equal parts Dinosaur Jr, Otis Redding, kraut, tremolo, and maracas.

Their output is colorful, and with good reason: they’ve been directly tapped for visual work by Marc Maron, Father John Misty, Wes Craven, Maria Bamford, Reggie Watts, Brendon Small, and Tom Scharpling, among others.

The first UL recordings name-drop soon.
