About Willows, R.B.I., Chromatic Springs, Sojii, André Salvador and the Von Kings

Willows is a psych-rock band from NYC.

R.B.I. formed when 2 former members of folkrock quintet Golden Bones started turning the amps up. R.B.I. is Mason Hedgecoth on guitar and vocals, Evan Lytton on drums and percussion, and Ryan Pearson on bass and backing vocals. Drawing inspiration from classics (The Allman Brothers, Cream, and Neil Young with Crazy Horse) to contemporaries (Pontiak, Ancient Sky, Dead Meadow), R.B.I. is somewhere between spaghetti westerns, heavy blues, and psych stoner riffs. It’s fuzz and beats and dirt and teeth.

"Gutiar music is before all things, and in guitar music, all things hold together" -Colossian 1:17

Free-form psychedelic prog-rock springing from the heart. Organic, but not vegan.

André Salvador and the Von Kings is the moniker of mysterious singer/songwriter Tim Cheplick, who records all instruments and vocals in his apartment in Brooklyn. His forthcoming debut album, Rock and Roll Springtime, is mixed by Larry Crane (Elliott Smith, She and Him, the Decemberists) and will be released on March 11th. The record has 11 highly melodic original songs based around guitars, tambourines, fuzzy keys, fuzzy bass, some stupid sounds, and the odd witticism. Cheplick also performs throughout NYC, usually with his backing band, and is planning a tour of the Northeast in late March. New music is being being teased out ahead of the release via videos and mp3s on the band’s instagram and bandcamp. “Cheplick is penning [Elliott] Smithesque compositions in a way no one else has done before.” Anthony Gonzalez for InYourSpeakers
