!Whiplash! features a night of musical magic with wiZards such as guitar-playing virtuoso, Eric McFadden, who has toured the world both as a solo artist, as well as traveling with funk legend George Clinton of Parliament/Funkadelic and rock legend Eric Burdon of The Animals. McFadden regularly plays with greats such as Anders Osbourne, Widespread Panic, The Reverend Horton Heat, Les Claypool, Fishbone, members of The Meters, among others. Heralded by Guitar Player Magazine as "the closest thing San Francisco has to a modern-day Jimi Hendrix", McFadden has been stunning audiences with his guitar wizardry for years. A masterful songwriter, his catalogue is extensive and diverse, ranging from high-energy rock to beautiful ballads. Also an amaZing songwriter & guitarist is Pimps of Joytime frontman, Brian J. His tone rings with a variety of influences as vast as the cities he's traveled with his popular funky soul-groove band. Current collaborations include working with artists such as the great Ivan Neville or Rubblebucket's Alex Toth on the UPcoming Pimps of Joytime album. Holding down the bass for !Whiplash! is a musician who has an absolutely stellar career. A highly respected and sought-after master of his instrument, bass legend, Doug Wimbish, records and performs with a diverse roster of talent. From his early days with Sugarhill Records, to his pioneering work in TackHead and Living Colour, Doug is best described as a musical genuis. His repertoire reads like a whose-who of Rock, Pop and Hip-Hop; The Rolling Stones, Mos Def, Depeche Mode, Madonna, and Jeff Beck, to name a few. RocKing the drums fresh and hard is the vibrant Joey Peebles, an UP-and-coming drummer from New Orleans who plays for Trombone Shorty, one of the HOTest acts around. Special guest delphine de St. Paƫr, the Queen "d" of pink puNk will join these amaZing players, adding a touch gritty fuN. Secret special guest TBA!!! Lions on the Moon, a youth rocK band that is sure to bloW your mind, led by child guitar prodigy, Brandon "Taz" Niederauer, will open the show. Additional opening act is Will Bernard Trio, a jaZZ-funK fusion that sets a seXy mood for music-lovers and novice listeners alike. In the words of Dan Ouellette of Billboard, "Will Bernard is one of the best-kept jazz-guitar secrets on the planet." Last, but certainly not least, a favorite of the Brooklyn music scene, DJ CB1DR will spin between acts to keep the night poPPing!
