"Top Gun" Soundtrack Live: Keytars, 'Staches & Aviators at Highline Ballroom

It's an annual dilemma: How do you celebrate Tom Cruise's birthday in a way that honors his '80s-era legacy of being insanely awesome (versus his '00s-era legacy of being awesomely insane)? Well, VIPER has the answer: perform the entirety of the "Top Gun" soundtrack "live". Armed with keytars, Aviator shades and well-groomed mustaches, the band promises to "melt your face" with the hits of "Top Gun"'s epic rock canon, enlisting A-list cameos and audience participation. Opening will be White Wedding, a tribute to the '80s that bleeds neon and sings everything from Madonna to Flock of Seagulls to Guns N' Roses. So head to the Highline Ballroom to ride the "Highway to the Danger Zone," a journey filled with adventure, drama, romance and homoerotic beach volleyball.
