Jesse Lauter is a music producer, engineer, mixer, and guitar player, who has worked with Langhorne Slim, Elvis Perkins, The Low Anthem, Ingrid Michaelson, Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith Group), Pussy Riot, Ivan & Alyosha, James Blood Ulmer, Blind Pilot, Marco Benevento, Sam Cohen, Diego Garcia, The Melodic, Ian Axel (A Great Big World), Alela Diane, Bobby Long, Surprise Me Mr. Davis (Nathan Moore & The Slip), Pete Francis (Dispatch), Dawes, Scott Litt (Producer- REM, Nirvana), among others. He was the executive producer of Bob Dylan In The 80s: Volume One, a tribute album to Bob Dylan’s overlooked 1980s catalog, featuring Gene Ween & Slash, Glen Hansard, Built To Spill, Craig Finn (The Hold Steady), Reggie Watts, Deer Tick, Carl Broemel (My Morning Jacket), Blitzen Trapper, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Lucius, and Widespread Panic. He also was the music supervisor for Roseanne for President!, a documentary about comedian Roseanne Barr's campaign for the US Presidency, which premiered at the 2015 TriBeCa Film Festival. Aside from his production work, Jesse writes for Tape-Op and Relix Magazine, and from time to time you can catch him spinning his favorite brands of funk, country-rock, soul, reggae, and classic rock, around New York City. Jesse works out of several recording studios across the US and primarily mixes in his apartment in upper Manhattan.
