About "Tour de Fat" New York

"Tour de Fat" Traveling Show With The Naked and Famous

Festival favorites The Naked and Famous, the indie electronic band out of New Zealand, headlines the New York edition of the 33-city "Tour de Fat" traveling show, a cutting-edge collection of old-timey entertainment featuring vaudeville acts, circus performers, magicians, comedians and more, courtesy of New Belgium Brewing's Fat Tire Amber Ale. Costumes are encouraged, as the party gets underway at Pier 36, with a portion of the proceeds going to local nonprofits. The Naked and Famous, led by vocalists Alisa Xayalith and Thom Powers, released their latest disc, "Simple Forms", and hit single "Higher" in 2016. And not only have the synthpop specialists played Coachella, South by Southwest and dozens of other festivals across the globe, but their evocative songs like "Young Blood," "Girls Like You" and "Punching in a Dream" have been heard in dozens of TV shows, movies, commercials and video games.
