Tiger Mountain, N???TIONS

Tiger Mountain is an electronic collective, currently featuring Boris Skalsky and Paul Wood from Dead Heart Bloom and Phaser, which creates music comprised of beats, soundscapes, digital, analog and found sounds. The music encompasses both cinematic & abstract backgrounds as well as structured rhythmic oscillations.

The debut EP ???Celestial Machines??? was written and recorded during 2016 at Tiger Mountain???s studio in New York City. It features 4 songs, including guest vocals on single ???My Heart Is A War??? by singer-songwriter Kesang Marstrand.

Tiger Mountain's music has been used for soundtracks and performed live for multimedia art installations in and around New York City.

A second EP entitled "Sound Tracks", which compiles these selections, was released in the fall of 2016.

New recordings are currently in the works with further releases expected in the fall of 2017.


N?TIONS is a collaborative project helmed by veteran producers and principal songwriters Nolan Thies and Toby Pipes. After working out of Pipes??? studio for years together in Dallas, TX, they began to recruit additional vocalists and musicians in Brooklyn, NY. Matching the strengths of each performer to the particular demands of their songs, N?TIONS yields an eclectic but cohesive sound unified by a common creative vision. With influences ranging from Talk Talk to Roxy Music to Caribou, N?TIONS crafts sophisticated pop with unidentifiable instrumentation and evocative textures into a subliminal soundscape.
