Tiger + Man, Rhys Tivey, The Narcotix

Based in Brooklyn, NY, Tiger + Man is an electro-acoustic collaboration between Austin-raised, Tiger Darrow and South African-born Andrew Orkin. Both award winning composers and songwriters, Darrow and Orkin met in 2012 and collaborated on both commercial and passion projects before creating a cohesive sound that they felt best represented their artistic corner in the music industry. Their debut, self-titled EP was released in March of 2016 and received press from Nylon, Interview Magazine, and Texx and The City. Tiger + Man???s sophomore EP is scheduled for release in the Fall of this year.


?Rhys Tivey transforms the tradition of singer and trumpeter (Chet Baker, Louis Armstrong) into an indie rock realm. As with current artists Hozier, St. Vincent, Grizzly Bear, and Dirty Projectors, jazz roots fall aside to reveal an authentic songwriting sound committed to paving new pathways. The Narcotix are a curious duo in Brooklyn, NY. Gathering inspiration from their West-African cultures and their uncanny and preposterous life experiences, they make an Afro-Psychedelic music that both shocks and soothes the soul. ???Mr. Weberg??? is their debut album, named after the underdog high school choral teacher whose obscure and peculiar tastes contributed to the band???s creation.
