Tierney Sutton

Known for her original and edgy interpretations of the classic jazz songbook, vocalist Tierney Sutton has been hailed by The New York Times as "a serious jazz artist who takes the whole enterprise to another level." The recipient of numerous honors, including the current Jazz Times Magazine cover story, Ms. Sutton has been a frequent performer at prestigious venues including Birdland and Carnegie Hall and has been featured in popular films and commercials. For over fifteen years, The Tierney Sutton Band has included pianist Christian Jacob, bassists Trey Henry and Kevin Axt and drummer Ray Brinker. Their latest CD "American Road” recently earned two 2011 Grammy nominations for "Best Jazz Vocal Album" and "Best Arrangement Accompanying A Vocal."
