About The Shelter Peep Show: PHOBIA

A phobia is an exaggerated, usually inexplicable and illogical fear of a particular object, class of objects or situation. Phobias range from the common, like arachnophobia (fear of spiders), to the very uncommon, like consecotaleophobia (fear of chopsticks). They can be intense and often debilitating, but we at The Shelter find them utterly fascinating.

So we've decided to bring together another amazing night of stripped down theatre—this time inspired by the weird and wild world of phobias. Enjoy incredible new short plays from six of NYC's hottest emerging playwrights: Jonathan Ashley, Ryan Blackwell, John Hayden, Christine Nyland, Kristen Olds and Jacob Marx Rice. We've got live music, the Peep Show photo booth and much, much more.

Here's the details: The Bell House in Brooklyn on Wednesday, April 1st—that's April Fool's Day, but this show is no joke! Doors open at 7:30pm, show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $10, and we recommend buying in advanced, online (this show will sell out).
