The Rifts, The Sulls, Jakals, More Tongues than Teeth

Formed in Buffalo, NY, The Rifts are an alternative/garage rock
band with a rapidly growing following throughout Western and Upstate
New York. The Rifts write energetic and upbeat rock songs that go hand
in hand with their energetic stage presence. With influences spanning
from Led Zeppelin and The Doors to The Black Keys and The Strokes, the
band's music is characterized by dynamic melodies and a powerful
rhythm section, much like the bands they are inspired by. They
released their debut single "Twelve" on November 28th and their debut
EP is planned to be released in the spring of 2017.


Jakals are a Boston-based, indie-folk band that began performing in early 2016. Combining the vulnerability and intimacy of traditional folk with the grit of indie music, Jakals??? evocative performances are honest and fearless. They engage with the challenging emotions that make people feel isolated in the modern age. Jakals will conduct a series of mini tours across New England following the the release of their debut album, Keep Mother Sane, on May 20th at The Burren Backroom Series. Keep Mother Sane will use music as an all-encompassing language for conveying the pain and disconnection that accompanies daily life.
