About "The Mystery of Irma Vep"

Campy Gothic Horror Spoof "The Mystery of Irma Vep"

Two actors play all eight roles in this madcap, creepy comedy by avant-garde theater legend Charles Ludlam. Combining high camp with a grand whodunit-style adventure, "The Mystery of Irma Vep" begins on a dark and stormy night as the newly wed Lady Enid arrives at the eerie estate of her husband, the Egyptologist Lord Edgar Hillcrest. Without warning, an intruder accosts the attention-starved Enid, and soon no one is above suspicion as Enid starts investigating the untimely passing of Hillcrest's first wife, the mysterious Irma Vep. Catch TP&co's revival of "The Mystery of Irma Vep" in its short run at Players Theatre in New York City, and spend "far and away the funniest two hours anywhere" ("The New York Times") with a sympathetic werewolf, a vampire and an Egyptian princess.
