Dubbed a "showstopper" by "Variety" and a "sultry songstress" by "The Washington Post", soulful vocal phenom Ramona Renea brings "I Got My Life", her career-spanning tribute to the music of Nina Simone, to New York City's Highline Ballroom. Simone, known as the High Priestess of Soul, is famed for her unforgettable renditions of soul and jazz classics like Gershwin's "I Loves You, Porgy," "My Baby Just Cares for Me and "I Put a Spell on You." Ramona's soul-stirring tribute is presented in three parts: songs that highlight Nina's musical commentary on black female identity, followed by love songs that chronologically track several of her most complex relationships, and finally songs that reflect Simone's gospel-infused celebration of blackness. This special performance of "I Got My Life" includes brunch.
