About The Modern Vinyl Podcast/Washed Up Emo Podcast Live

Taking their acts on the road, The Modern Vinyl Podcast and Washed Up Emo Podcast are teaming up for a live double bill of show recordings this spring, set for Brooklyn’s Union Hall.

The Modern Vinyl Podcast looks to combine their namesake site's dedication to the rise of physical music with some of the best and most informative criticism found throughout the music world. The three primary hosts — Chris Lantinen, James Cassar and Michael Escanuelas — are set to converge on Union Hall for the recording. Ever wanted to eavesdrop on those record store talks you hear faintly when digging through the nearest crate of records?

The Washed Up Emo Podcast and its home at washedupemo.com serves as a platform for bands of the late 90s and early 2000s. Washed Up Emo has not only become a beacon for its namesake genre, but has been an active presence in the NYC music scene, hosting the “Do You Know Who You Are?” DJ night for the past four years. The podcast has featured conversations with the likes of Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba, American Football’s Mike Kinsella and Jimmy Eat World’s Jim Adkins, among many others.
