About The Lucky One

A.A. Milne's "The Lucky One" Explores Brotherly Angst

A.A. Milne may be best known for his creation of lovable bear Winnie-the-Pooh, but he was a talented and incisive writer in all formats, including work for the stage. In "The Lucky One", Mint Theater Company brings one of his most powerful plays back to Broadway after its initial run in 1922. This is a story of antagonism between two brothers: Gerald, who stands in the sun, and Bob, who falls in Gerald's shadow. When Bob finds himself in legal trouble, he turns to his brother, but Gerald's failure to help brings years of simmering resentment to a boil.
