"The Lords of 52nd Street" are the legendary Billy Joel Band, who recorded and toured the world for many years with the "Piano Man" Billy Joel. Selling over 100 million records and being the backbone to Billy Joel's formidable sound, they provided the music to the songs we all know and love. This brilliant band is led by, Richie Cannata on tenor saxophone, Liberty Devitto on drums and percussion, and Russell Javors on rhythm guitar. From starting at the bottom playing local venues in Long Island, to moving up to colleges and universities across the nation, and eventually circumventing the entire planet.
They have individually worked multi platinum artists, lending their talents to some of the greatest musicians in the world. Their efforts helped change the face of music, and their dedication and devotion to this music catapulted them into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in October 2014. Often imitated, never duplicated, Liberty, Russell, and Richie, along with an all star band, have reformed to pay homage to the Billy Joel catalog, and perform the songs as they were in the original recordings.
