The Jelly is a monthly jam session on the first and third Monday of every month in Brooklyn.The house band is led by Sly5thAve and features NYC's finest musicians.

BSKi (pronounced "bee-skee"), a first generation “Nuyorican” grew up in Haverstraw, NY listening to his father play guitar and sing classic boleros by the likes of Rafael Hernandez and Trío Vegabajeño. His family singing group, Élan, was signed to Columbia Records before evolving into what became the soul-pop indie collective, Live Society who released three studio albums together, including their 2014
swan-song, Only a Disaster.

2014 brought an air of upheaval as the dissolution of Live Society occurred simultaneously as a vocal injury threatened to permanently end BSKi’s singing career. Opting to undergo a risky procedure to remove what’s known as a sulcus from one of his vocal cords, BSKi wasn’t able to sing for four months and had to face the unanswerable question: “who am I if I can’t sing?” Fortunately, he had a full recovery and emerged from that period with a new focus, sound and record.

The music on Keep It Light evokes a 70s Stevie Wonder meets 90s New Jack Swing vibe while Collazo adds his own, at times, sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek lyrical approach for a uniquely personal record. The song “Let Your Hair Down” manages to simultaneously pay homage and poke fun at the “sexy lover man” persona so prevalent in R&B, matching an infectious groove with lyrics like “if I had game, I wouldn’t need to sing.” BSKi explains,“Both musically and lyrically, these songs sound and feel more like me than anything I’ve ever done.“


Whether at the turntables, or in studio behind the boards, DJ Center soul-travels, navigating audiences with a crate of musical goods from around the globe, while echoing a New York state of mind.

Always aiming to break new tunes and celebrate forgotten gems, a Center set is synonymous with the finest of selections whether he is doing Music Supervision for Gucci, recording radio sessions for Giant Step, or keeping NYC parties on their feet until the wee hours.

Live, Center has brought together artists like Talib Kweli, Rob Swift, ?uestlove, Pete Rock, Grandmaster Flash, J.Rawls and Eric Roberson to take crowds higher at his classic sessions.

The year 2010 marked DJ Center's debut as producer, with the critically acclaimed LP, "Everything in Time"- a ride across multiple genres, woven by lush piano chords, warm bass lines, flying tambourines and soaring horns.

The record has been championed by the likes of The Huffington Post, Okayplayer.com, Bobbito, DJ Vadim and Nickodemus and received heavy rotation on KCRW in Los Angeles.
