About The Good Doctor ft. Sid McGinnis from The Late Show w/ David Letterman and Marc Jacoby from Grateful BRO

The Good Doctor has been playing on and off for a few decades, in the past under the name BRO (Blue Roadhouse Orchestra), currently under the name The Good Doctor. The musical relationships in the band date back to the early 1990's.

The band originally featured the fine voice of the late, famed Kevin "Doc C" Crutchfield. After Doc's passing, Tommy McDonnell would pop in from time to time and sing, play harp, and percussion. Sid McGinnis joined in a few times a year with BRO/The Good Doctor, and the line up also featured the late Donnie Mueller on bass (of the famed Jersey Shore Flying Mueller Brothers family band), and Rob Wallis on drums, who plays all around our region with great folks.

The current line up features Sid McGinnis and Tommy McDonnell, along with original singer songwriter and telecaster player, Chris Merola. The line up is filled out with Jeff Reich (bass) and Marc Jacoby (guitar/steel/vox) both Grateful Bro/BRO players, percussionist Andy Ladue. and guest bassist Mike Levine, both of whom have logged long hours Merola's original material.

The band leans heavily on blues rock based jams, from The Stones, BB King, Hendrix, Robert Johnson, and the like, and features the raging and inventive guitar stylings of Sid McGinnis of the CBS Orchestra, Tommy's amazing voice, and harp, and the roots Americana compositions and tele picking of Chris Merola.

If we are lucky, The Good Doctor gets this together two or three times a year, so come join the fun before these folks get too busy!!
