The Broken Crowns

John Schmitt, Aaron Mirman, and Lissa Farquhar started writing together three years ago when they were commissioned to create a title song for a documentary film. John and Lissa were both individual performers in the NYC singer-songwriter scene at the time, and Aaron was an active composer and producer. The three clicked immediately; they continued to write, and before long they had decided to form The Broken Crowns.

Their repertoire grew, and soon they were drawing crowds at notable venues such as Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, The Living Room, and more.
