Not since the acrobatic heights of tap's golden age in the '20s and '30s has this most dynamic of dances seen such a surge of creativity as it does today. The masters of old -- Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, Fred Astaire, the Nicholas Brothers "et al." -- have met their match in a new, daredevil generation of tap artists. Now "Tap Forward" showcases the best new work created by an increasingly global community of tap dancers.
