In 2011, a group of long-time friends, motivated by their love of Steely Dan and bolstered by their experience as session musicians, came together to pay tribute to their favorite band. The result is King of the World, which is a tribute band but also much more. These talented musicians have whipped up a voodoo cocktail of cool inspired by the music of their youth. The result is a mutant offspring of rock and jazz that pays tribute to the music of Fagen, Becker and company, but doesn't take itself too seriously. Faithful to the original tunes, but more than happy to put a little "stank" on things, King of the World is ready to get down at B.B. King Blues Club in Times Square.
