Spirit Plate, Leland Sundries

Spirit Plate is a pride of lions drifting to sleep under the Tanzanian sunset. Spirit Plate is a group of Flatbush teens about to tag-up some subway cars. Spirit Plate is the new exhibit at the Galactic Museum of Art.


Leland Sundries is an indie/folk/garage project. This summer, we'll be focusing on the garage side of things, which saw a 7" release in 2012 of "Roller Derby Queen" backed with "Givin' Up Redheads." Dirty harmonica, loud Telecaster, driving backbeat, and harmony vocals bolster rockabilly, garage, psychedelic, roadhouse, boogie, and blues, all dirtied and high-energy. The Village Voice said, "he's just as handy at knocking out Johnny Cash-worthy trifles like 'Giving Up Redheads'":
