About Sour Bridges

"This would be Americana gone wild. To top it all off, they've got some of the best vocal harmonies around." -KUTX

"...a burst of Texas-style soul" - Austin Music Examiner

Sour Bridges play Browngrass music! Browngrass, it's like bluegrass, just a lil' dirtier. Forming in 2009 with rock n' roll inspiration, a steady drum beat and some good old-fashioned doo-wop sensibility, this Austin, TX band has cultivated a sound that is as unique as it is organic.

Sour Bridges' first album Workin' on Leavin' was released in 2010. Following the album with three years of playing in some of Austin's finest venues, Sour Bridges' solidified their "browngrass" sound and released their sophomore follow-up Catfish Charlie in 2013. That album is swimming along Texas airwaves including NPR-affiliated station KUTX, while the band takes the show on the road, performing at festivals like UTOPiAfest, CMJ Music Marathon, SXSW and Daytrotter.

Sour Bridges are currently wrapping up their third full length album in the studio that will be released in the late spring of 2015 followed by extensive touring and promoting.

Sour Bridges are: Bill Pucci (vocals, banjo, rhythm guitar), Matt Pucci (vocals, mandolin, lead guitar), Kat "Mama Kat" Wilkes (fiddle, tambourine), Dalton Chamblee (drums), Jack Bridges (vocals, bass guitar), Ben Morgan (keys)
