So Si : Pole and Aerial Performance Art

AERA presents So Si, pole and aerial performance art. So Si roughly means "what is it", in this series each month we will explore a different subculture beginning with CULTS, the mother of all subcultures.
In addition to producing more than four hour long performances in the past five years AERA has curated two series of monthly pole and aerial performance art, exploring different themes. Past series include Fin de Siglo, a look at decadent times and places throughout history, and La Gente es La Gente, about the stories that shape us, the stories that taught us how to act.
So Si will look at cultures that grow outside and away from the norm, we open with CULTS. Going back to the original meaning of the word, each performer will pull inspiration from any form of worship or ritual throughout history.
