Smorgasburg

Back by popular demand! Following a July event that sold out in less than 12 (TK?) hours, Smorgasburg returns to Central Park SummerStage on Friday, September 18, to close out summer in style. Eat and drink specialties from 25 of our favorite food vendors under the evening stars, grab a couple beers—featuring a fall-lineup sneak peek from Lagunitas (Imperial Stout), Ommegang (Cooperstown Ale), and Sierra Nevada (Hop Hunter)—and enjoy some outdoor tunes, all in the splendor of Central Park.

Since 2010 Smorgasburg has operated the food-and-beverage concession at SummerStage, where Asia Dog, Blue Marble Ice Cream, Lonstar Empire, and Pizza Moto set up for all 50+ shows every summer. In addition to those regulars, Smorg stars old and new will be there: Red Hook Lobster Pound, Home Frite, Butter & Scotch, Mighty Quinn's BBQ, Cemitas, and many more. For this event, many vendors are crafting special menu items only available for the evening, including: Ramen Burger's Spicy Tan Tan Burger (topped with ground pork); Zia Green Chile Company’s live chile roast; Dough and La Newyorkina's doughnut ice cream sundae collaboration; Lumpia Shack’s “lechon” Filipino-style slow-roasted suckling pig; and Big Mozz’s burrata, pulled fresh onsite.
