Sharon Hazel Township

Known for her multifaceted songwriting and honest lyrics about a Northern California kid embracing adulthood in Chicago, Sharon Hazel enjoyed a successful solo career prior to forming Sharon Hazel Township. The former memeber of Chicago's Second City Songwriters has appeared in national and local media including Performer Magazine, Indie Music Television Show, and GoGirls Music Radio. Shortly after her move from Chicago (where she attended DePaul University) to San Diego, Sharon Hazel Township was born. 2008 brought two San Diego Acoustic Music Award (HAT) Nominations - Best Vocalist and Performer of the Year. The acoustic based band plays mostly original music influenced by folk, rock, jazz, and funk. Known to stray from verse and jam during a set, SHT was named one of southern California's premiere bands by Nug Magazine and was among the most request artists on UCLA Radio (March 2011).
