Second Hand Rose

Second Hand Rose are a band from Beijing, China that blend traditional music from the country's northeast, the region's "er-ren-zhuan" style (the art of story-telling), with western-style rock.

The band are locally known for lead singer Liang long's theatrically charged shows in which he adorns traditional Chinese garb and assumes an adrogynous role with a signature rose in his hair.

The band released their debut album in 2004 to critical acclaim in China, and have since released five more albums, also to much fanfare.
