About Sean Kiely

Jersey City singer-songwriter Sean Kiely’s forthcoming record Your

Logo, My Logo is an intimate collection of folk-rock songs examining

lyrical themes of love & death, confusion & awe within our modern

American culture. Your Logo, My Logo features intricate folk and

bluegrass-influenced guitar playing by Kiely, and the powerful, often

orchestral upright bass playing of Bobby McCullough.

Your Logo, My Logo was produced by drummer Rich DeCicco, and

mixed by legendary engineer John Agnello (Son Volt, Kurt Vile,

Dinosaur Jr., Phosphorescent) at Fluxivity Recording in Brooklyn.

The title track, Your Logo, My Logo is about the economic & cultural

abandonment of manufacturing cities, imagined as a conversation

between Detroit and Paterson. Nirvana, If Only, This Might Be True,

Ginsberg At the End, and The King Was Dead are all elegies of different

sorts, forming a through-line and theme for the set. Throughout the record,

these songs search for each of our own complicities in the great

big American culture & experience of money, entertainment, news, sport,

tribalism, failure, success, love, death, and distraction.

Your Logo, My Logo is out July 24th 2015. Sean Kiely plays regularly

around New York and New Jersey, and is on tour this August & September.
