Scott Ian Speaking Words! Pulse-Pounding & Senses-Shattering Tales Will Be Told

As one of metal's most beloved musicians, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian has taken his thrashing career to many different forms of entertainment. Ian has dabbled as a television personality for VH1?s 'The Rock Show,' 'Supergroup' and various editions of the 'I Love the…' series, along with additional appearances on 'The Walking Dead' and in Brian Posehn's 'Metal By Numbers.' Having conquered those goals, Ian has now moved into a new form of entertainment, a one-man 'Speaking Words' tour.

Scott Ian found success at his London prototype event earlier this year, so the Anthrax thrasher has announced a full speaking tour — but don't call it "spoken word."

"I'm calling it Speaking Words because the pretension of saying I am doing a "spoken word" tour is too much to bear. This ain't no poetry reading. This isn't an evening of sensitive discourse," says Scott.

Ian continues, "It's an evening of ridiculous truth. It's me talking (swearing) about this insane life I've led over the last 31 years, the people I've met and the shit that's happened. And when I'm done swearing, you can ask me anything you want, the floor is yours."
