The renowned comedy duo of Scharpling & Wurster bring you a star-studded event filled with mirth, music and mayhem! Tom and Jon are hitting the road promoting their massive and definitive 16CD box set Scharpling & Wurster: The Best of The Best Show out on Numero Group and are bringing along their friends from Newbridge and beyond to celebrate this historic release.

Tom Scharpling is one half of the renowned comedy duo Scharpling & Wurster. Scharpling & Wurster ranked #31 on ROLLING STONE’S list of the Fifty Funniest People. Tom was the host of The Best Show On WFMU from 2000 til 2013 and is the current host of The Best Show, a weekly comedy program that can be heard at thebestshow.net. He has also been directing music videos – he was named Video Music Director of 2012 by SPIN his video for Aimee Mann’s “Labrador” was named #2 Music Video of the Year (after “Gangham Style”). He is currently directing commercials and developing a few things for television and a few things not for television that will hopefully excite you through 2015 and beyond!

Jon Wurster is…um…the other half of the renowned comedy duo Scharpling & Wurster, who have been…ah, forget it. Jon has been the drummer for indie-rock pioneers Superchunk since 1991. He’s also the drummer in The Mountain Goats and The Bob Mould Band. When he’s not making records or touring the world Jon's lending his writing talents to the Adult Swim programs “Squidbillies” and “Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell” and appearing in videos by Aimee Mann, J. Mascis, The New Pornographers, The Postal Service and others. Jon's is the voice on the other end of the line during the Scharpling and Wurster calls.
