About Scam Avenue, Who Can Sleep, Ghost Cop

Scam Avenue is like the soundtrack of a John Hughes movie produced by Brian Eno. Equally enamored of pop and the experimental???and, in fact, believing they can be one and the same???they make music that borrows from the past and synthesize their influences into something that is uniquely contemporary and theirs alone. Moroder for the melancholy? Can for the kids? Words can only express so much???it's time to listen.

LA based duo Dean Vivirito and Lexie Helgerson combine their shared passions for dreamy pop harmonies, dark lyrics and modern instrumentation. Use of drum machine and synths blended seamlessly with Rhodes piano and electric guitar provide their sound a rich warmth and timeless resonance. IMPOSE says their debut EP 'First Date' is bold, crisp and mysterious. Their debut video, Jean Seberg, was an official selection of the Paris Short Film Festival 2017 and won Best Cinematography at the Moonfaze Feminist Film Festival 2016.

Time is omnidirectional and best viewed through slate tinted glass. A low rise concrete brutalist dwelling covered in graphical and colorful sigils. A robot siren call warning of unchecked technological progress. The continual low ambient drones in any city, in any country.

GHOST COP is Lucy Swope and Sean Dack.
