"Saturday Night Fever": 40th Anniversary Concert

Boogie shoes are recommended for this all-star disco salute to "Saturday Night Fever", on stage back in Brooklyn where it all began. The soundtrack to this musical drama starring John Travolta as a working-class guy who finds an escape from his dead-end job on the dance floor won five Grammys, spawned five hit singles, went double platinum and stayed on the "Billboard" album chart for more than two solid years. Now, in honor of the film's 40th anniversary, Brooklyn's own Joe Causi hosts a throwback concert at the Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk featuring more than a dozen sensational disco acts. Guests include "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack artists like The Trammps ("Disco Inferno"), Yvonne Elliman ("If I Can't Have You") and Tavares ("More Than a Woman") as well as choreographer Deney Terrio of "Dance Fever" and actress Karen Lynn Gorney, who played John Travolta's love interest Stephanie on the screen.
