Sasha Daniel

Sasha was Born In Penza, Russia to musician parents Yelena and Alexey. In 1992 the family moved to Israel.

As a child she was in a folk dancing group, a singer at the “Rekefet” childrens choir and an acting student at the “Wizzo” high school for arts in Haifa. In addition Sasha explored photography with a vintage ZENIT camera she owned and took drawing lessons focusing on minimalism and sketches.

After High school Sasha served as a soloist in the IDF Air Force band. Parallel to that she auditioned for the Israeli version of American Idol, got in and reached the semi finals.After the show she moved to Tel Aviv and started working professionally as an actress and singer.

As Sasha fell more in love with acting, she decided to study it full time and develop her craft further. This brought her to The Atlantic Acting School in NYC where she studied for 2 incredible years.

Looking to explore acting and more of the US Sasha landed in Chicago where she shot her first Indie feature “Faith In Destiny” with the award winning director and producer James Choi, played Madam in “The Maids” at the Oracle Theatre, worked on a few short films and started writing songs again, but now for the first time in English.

After two years in Chicago Sasha learned that New York was truly where she wanted to be and headed back to Brooklyn to start working on her new music project. Two years ago she met Dov Igel, also a Brooklyn-based Russian-Israeli singer-songwriter. A deep friendship was formed between the two, which developed into a meaningful music collaboration.

Sasha's rich voice matches her old soul and all of her songs reflect her truth and her vibrant approach to life. At the moment she is recording her debut album that will be released in the spring of 2015.
