Sam & Margot

NYC based songwriters, Sam & Margot sing heartbreaking harmonies soaked in vinegar, travel, devastation and triumph. They met at a villa in Tuscany and began writing and recording with each other shortly after returning to the US. Sam, an ex-football player, and Margot, a trained musical theater actress, combine for a polarizing dynamic that brings peaceful clarity to the turbulent times we are in. They infuse personal and political angst into their songs, reminiscent of Leonard Cohen, Conor Oberst, and Tom Waits and are like messengers, using songs to understand and communicate our mythic place in history.
