Civil War Buffs Re-Enact Their Own Battles in "Row After Row"

The secret lives of Civil War re-enactors get their deserving due in the quirky comedy "Row After Row". When two hard-core history buffs, Tom and Cal, head to the bar for their annual post-Battle-of-Gettysburg beer, they find a pretty stranger, Leah, sitting at their normal table. She's fixing to be a re-enactor too, which rankles these tenacious traditionalists, and not just because female soldiers fighting in the Civil War defies authenticity. Soon their contentious conversation gives away to deeper personal truths as the play straddles scenes from 1863 and the modern day. Cave Theatre Company presents this funny, poignant play about "the battle of life" ("The New York Times") in a production directed by James Masciovecchio.
