About Robin DeLorenzo
Robin is a powerful Americana singer songwriter who sings from her soul, writes from her heart and delivers pure emotion
for every performance. As if time is standing still, when Robin sings, everyone listens. She has a special way of captivating the entire room from her first breath and holds on to them with every story telling note. She is magnetic, engaging and a true talent.
Robin has been favorably compared to Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt and Tina Turner for her powerful vocals, emotional deliveries and passionate performance style.
Having been involved with many musical projects and various types of original and cover bands over the years, Robin has comfortably settled into her own music. Currently, she is promoting and supporting the recent release of her newest album, Walkin’ Miles in My Shoes, which has twelve evocative, soulful, and emotional songs.
Recorded at Steve Jankowski‘s (Blood, Sweat & Tears) Jankland Recording, Belmar, NJ, with a team of world class musicians including Manny Charlton, George Naha, Judy Palma, Andy Huenerberg, Sam Bryant (Brandy Clark), Byron Crawford-Smith and Rob Paparozzi this album is true to the Americana Genre, showing a wide variety of influence in Robin’s writing with catchy melodies and relatable lyrics - there is something for everyone.
In support of her new album, over the past year Robin has performed at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, The Cutting Room in NYC and several festivals.
In years prior, highlights include performing in the 2012 Steven Tyler Rock and Roll Show at The Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles and Lead Singer for Manny Charlton Band, formerly of the 70’s Scottish rock band, Nazareth. During her two years with Charlton she co-wrote It Does Something, recorded the
album Hellacious with Tim Bogert (Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, Beck/Appice), Vivian Campbell (Def Leppard), Steven Adler
(Guns N’ Roses), Walfredo Reyes Jr. (Chicago, L.Buckingham, Santana) and headlined Festivals in cities like Chihuahua, Mexico and Muscle Shoals, AL.
In 2010, after working with Emmy Award Winning Producer/Arranger Lisa Ratner (Barbara Streisand) she released her self-penned album, Wanna Fly. The CD received rave reviews and in January 2012, her song Shakey Ground was recognized with a Lady Lake Indie Music Award for Best New Female Song.
Robin is a proud voting member of The Recording Academy, ASCAP and the Americana Music Association.
