Triumph's Rik Emmett Unplugs in Acoustic Duo

From his roots in early-'80s hard rock, Rik Emmett has developed into one of the most critically respected guitarists "period", hailed for his technique across numerous genres and styles. Though often remembered as the guitarist and vocalist for Triumph, the multi-platinum power trio from Ontario, Emmett has gone on a musical journey starting with his first solo album "Absolutely" in 1990. Since then, he's experimented with elements from swing, fusion and the blues, not to mention prog rock, smooth jazz and his current acoustic efforts with Dave Dunlop. At New York's Highline Ballroom, Emmett will be stripping his talent down to the raw bones, the technical fundamentals so astonishing one critic wrote: "He's one of the only guitarists out there who may be too talented for his own damn good."
