About Rickie Lee Jones

Rickie Lee Jones: Grammy-Winning Singer-Songwriter Plays Concert Hall

With the vulnerable bravado of the beat generation and a love of '40s jazz, Rickie Lee Jones was often called "the female Tom Waits." But over the course of her three-decade career, the prodigious talent has set herself apart as a singer-songwriter with style all her own. As an eclectic roots singer, Jones became known for such diverse songs as the jazz-inflected "Chuck E.'s in Love," the jive-talkin' commercial hit "Woody and Dutch..." and her early '90s college radio jam, "Satellites." Her latest album, "The Other Side of Desire", is inspired by her move to New Orleans and includes haunting new works tinged with the sounds of Cajun and Zydeco. Hear this songstress belt out new and old favorites when she performs at the Concert Hall in New York.
