Reza Khan & Painted Diaries

Domiciled in New York, Reza Khan was born in Bangladesh and has recorded with his own band, Painted Diaries, since 2001 when he released an album of the same name.

The most recent CD ‘Dreamwalker moves from ambient sounds to Brazilian Bossa Nova and African inspired epics. It’s a tremendously accomplished project that finds Reza re-united with Saxophone great Andy Snitzer and supported ably by Philippe Saisse on keyboards, Bill Donnelly and Graham Hawthorn on drums and percussion respectively plus Paul Frazier and Ray Dieneman who share duties on bass. The CD’s single Skylight reached #3 on the Billboard Groove Jazz chart.
