About "Revelations"

"Revelations": A Concert of Apocalyptic Music by the Pit Stop Players

Some of the best musicians in New York City can be found in Broadway pit orchestras. For proof, look no futher than the Pit Stop Players, a crossover chamber ensemble comprised of veteran pit musicians well-versed in everything from classical and jazz to Broadway and R&B. The group presents "Revelations", a concert of apocalyptic music. Led by conductor-composer and PSP founder Joshua Rosenblum, the program features the world premiere of the specially commissioned "Revelation Suite," with movements by Joshua Green and Joshua Schmidt. The eclectic Christ & St. Stephen's Church concert includes works by Gary William Friedman, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Frank Martin, Alexandre Tansman, and funk masters Earth, Wind and Fire. As an added bonus, you'll hear David Loud's arrangement of "Ben's Bedroom," a medley of well-loved cello pieces.
