The grand and stirring "Requiem for the Living" by award-winning American composer Dan Forrest has floored audiences and critics alike since its 2013 premiere. Now, the talented musicians of Distinguished Concerts Orchestra and Distinguished Singers International present the lush five-movement exploration of life, love, loss and renewal at the gorgeous Carnegie Hall in New York City. Forrest combines a short passage in English, "Come unto me," from the Book of Matthew with the five traditional mass movements Requiem, Kyrie, Agnus Dei, Sanctus, and Lux Aeterna to create an emotional piece that exudes warmth, peacefulness and radiance.
