Naming such bands as The Kinks, Rolling Stones, The Who, The Clash, The Specials, XTC, Wire, Pixies, Pavement among their influences, RED DATSUN has developed a rock & roll sound synthesized from 70's and 80's roots, rock, punk, and post-punk elements.

Red Datsun are an American indie-rock-alternative band, formed in New York City in 2006. The band is comprised of lead vocalist Miller, lead guitarist Dave C, keyboardist Eric T. S. Gonzales (aka Rice), bassist Gui Marques, and drummer Amanda.

Having released one successful album, (charted on over 300 college radio stations across North America) Red Datsun have also achieved success with singles, such as Devil You Know, Fort Greene, Garden State and the single Runaround.

Red Datsun's early material was often compared to that of The Ramones and Pixies, while also drawing comparisons to The Who and The Misfits. Since the release of the band's debut album, Red Datsun (2007), Red Datsun has also drawn influence from other sources, including XTC and Husker Du on Fort Greene (2007) and Wire and Pavement for Runaround (2007).

RED DATSUN's 10-song debut LP was recorded in the summer of 2007 and is available and is distributed through Riding Mower Records. Tracks can also be downloaded on iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, eMusic, and on Amazon.com. All tracks were produced by Eric Bennett of The Hunt Studio (known for his work with P.I.C, SHIVA COPAL, and other Riding Mower Records recording artists) and mastered by audio engineer Tom Ruff at Asbury Media.
