And nobody is better suited to pay homage to "The Genius of Soul" than master pianist/vocalist Kenny Brawner and his 15-piece All-Star Brawner Brothers Big Band. With a chorus of live back-up singers (a la The Raelettes), a swinging brass section and unlimited style, Brawner recreates the music and magic of an American icon. Woven in between sizzling renditions of hits like "I Got a Woman," "What'd I Say?" and "Georgia on My Mind," are personal reflections by "Ray" himself, recounting the thrilling highs and terrifying lows of his epic life story.
