Question of the Day Live! With Stephen Dubner and James Altucher
About Question of the Day Live! With Stephen Dubner and James Altucher
When Stephen Dubner (of Freakonomics fame) and James Altucher (of James Altucher fame) recently launched their new podcast, Question of the Day, it immediately shot to No. 1 on the iTunes chart. Now they’re bringing their infinite curiosity and wry observations to a live audience.
The concept is simple: they take turns asking each other a question. And each question leads to a conversation that can run from the ridiculous to the sublime (or occasionally both). For instance: “What are the secrets of being likable?” “What is the best possible future discovery or invention?“ “What social norms will be considered immoral in 100 years?” In the blink of an eye, their conversation will range from fact-based reality to unapologetic dogma.
With Dubner and Altucher, you never know where the conversation will go, or what you’ll learn. Throw in a live audience — and their questions — and the night is sure to be memorable, and a lot of fun.
James Altucher is a successful entrepreneur, chess master, best-seller writer and host of three high-ranking podcasts: The James Altucher Show, Ask Altucher and Question of the Day. He's started and sold many businesses, and has been involved in advising over 40 companies, several of which sold for large exits. James has also been inspiring people in person through hundreds of events around the world, through his books, and through weekly Q&A Twitter sessions, speaking on topics including: jobs, wealth, stress, fear, anxiety, business, love, money and relationships. His writing has appeared in major national media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Observer, Tech Crunch, and Thought Catalog. His incredibly candid blog, The Altucher Confidential, has attracted more than 25 million readers since its launch. He is the author of 17 books, including the best-sellers, The Power of No, Choose Yourself and his newest release The Rich Employee.
Stephen J. Dubner is an award-winning author, journalist, and TV and radio personality. His journalism has been published in The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Time, and has been anthologized in The Best American Sports Writing, The Best American Crime Writing, and elsewhere. He has taught English at Columbia University (while receiving an M.F.A. there), played in a rock band (which started at Appalachian State University, where he was an undergrad, and was later signed to Arista Records), and, as a writer, was first published at the age of 11, in Highlights for Children.
