Psymon Spine

In January 2013, Psymon Spine members Peter Spears and Noah Prebish embarked on a headlining European tour under Prebish’s other band, Karate. The band’s first single, ‘Eric’s Basement & Secret Tunnels’’, was written while in transit through Paris, and it was after their London show that Enfer Records first heard the song and signed Psymon Spine on the spot. Soon after Kitsuné invited PsymonSpine to remix Is Tropical’s ‘Dancing Anymore’ – and declared it their favorite mix of the track. Psymon Spine’s sound is an unapologetically colorful brew of punk, psychedelica, and dance music, both beautiful and abrasive, both soothing and biting. Their dynamic and shape-shifting live show features afro-pop and punk guitar lines, synths and samples, polyrhythmic percussion, and even occasional orchestral accompaniment. They are currently living in Brooklyn and recording their first LP for Axis Mundi Records (Is Tropical, Dave Ellis Group, etc.), which is being produced by Graham Dickson of Crystal Fighters.
