About Ponyboy & The Shiners, The Lock City Thieves, The Vigilance Committee

Lead by vocalist/guitarist Keith "Pony" Stapleton, formerly of The Fever (Kemado Records), Ponyboy and the Shiners fuse elements of the last 50 years of music into their own style of rock n roll. The boys are equally at home among fans of 70's album-oriented- rock as they are with those seeking modern flavors. The diversity of their sound can be attributed to the eclectic mix of musicians that make up the shiners. Drummer Kevin Hudson is a veteran of the NYC rockabilly scene while Michael Rafalowich and Matt Shapiro, bass & keys respectively, draw from their encyclopedic knowledge of rock and soul from the 60s & 70's. Finally, baritone saxophonist, Jay McMahon spent his formative years blowing bebop standards around the world in various ensembles. The band formed in 2013 and is currently preparing to record its debut ep.

Rising from the ashes of what was known as Bonethrower comes The Lock City Thieves. Consisting of Jim Darling's gut wrenching guitar riffs and vocals, Dan Persaud's heart pounding drum beats, and Justin Theriault's big booming bass sound. The Lock City Thieves are about as rock n roll as it gets guaranteed to get your hips shaken and your heads bangen.

The Vigilance Committee is a four-piece rock band hailing from Long Island, NY. The group is made up of longtime friends and musicians, Peter J. Scoma (guitar), Christian Cepeda (guitar), Phil Corso (drums) and Michael Perlmutter (bass). The band started in 2009, originally as a four-piece rock outfit featuring harpist Stephanie Babirak. Since then, The Vigilance Committee transformed into the indie/punk quartet it is today with a firm grasp on its sound and identity. They released their debut LP “Lost Again” in May 2014 and followed that up with their summer EP, “Love the Sea” later that year. They have been touring the New York/northeast region in support of those two releases as they begin formulating their next move. The Vigilance Committee already has its sophomore LP, “Exit a Hero” in its earliest stages with an anticipated completion date of early 2015. Moral of this story? This group is wasting no time to deliver its unique brand of indie rock infused with punk and progressive roots.
