PLATTENBAU

PLATTENBAU formed by a chance meeting in Berlin the summer of 2011, the brainchild and recording project of welsh and swedish ex-pats Lewis Lloyd and Hans Tobias. Holed up for months in the cold east Berlin winter, they took inspiration from the ex-communist architecture, old rock n roll records and new age mysticism to create their unique brand of cold-edged woozy noise-punk for a post-ideological world. With the addition of american newcomer Brandon Walsh on drums in 2014 the band could really take off as a live act, and has since been going from strength to strength. Now based in the ex-Stasi headquarters in east Berlin, the trio is set to soon release their debut LP and is planning a string of european and US dates for the coming winter.
