About Planes on Paper

“…quiet but mighty. Navid and Jen have captured magic between them, and the result is a truly beautiful musical partnership.”

– Heidi Drockelman, Editor-in-Chief, IndieMusic.com

“This is folk music at the highest level.”

– Greg Jones, Ear to the Ground Music

There is a vocal synergy that exists between Navid Eliot and Jen Borst, the two members of the Washington-based folk duo Planes on Paper. They each have clear, unique individual voices, but when combined, a special kind of musical beauty emerges.

During live performances, they often combine their own intricate harmonies and acoustic guitar with the abilities of some of their most musical friends, adding percussion and pedal steel. Their sound and their haunting live performances have drawn the notice of many national publications and websites along with Seattle indie radio station extraordinaire KEXP.

Their new EP, The Ruins, was released on January 1, 2015 and has received excellent reviews.
