One of the few solo instrumentalists to score a Billboard hit ("Valentine" with Martina McBride), Jim Brickman has a knack for taking a classical instrument and creating songs with mainstream appeal. He has sent 26 piano-dominated singles flying up the Adult Contemporary charts, including two that hit No. 1. Brickman's mellow tunes walk the line between pop and new age, filled with emotion and lyrical beauty, but expertly structured as well.
